My Story

Bethany Becker_Large-10.3.jpg

Bethany Becker is a country pop/rock artist and film star from Austin, TX.

Her love for Taylor Swift initially led her to country music and the stories, realness, and vulnerability of the songs made her fall in love with it. Summer 2013, she flew out to Nashville to write and record her first EP with Keith Follese (Tim McGraw, Martina McBride, Faith Hill), Adrienne Follese, and Grammy Award Winner Liz Rose (Taylor Swift). The EP, “Maybe More,” is the result of taking her personal stories and writing experience and adding in some of the top songwriters and producers in the business.

A few years after creating “Maybe More” and the EP landing multiple nominations for the Hollywood Music and Media Awards and various other competitions, more stars aligned and after several trips back and forth from Nashville and many hours writing and recording, she finished her first full album, which includes the songs off of the “Maybe More” EP as well as seven new songs created with the help of the incredible Jeff Pardo (Lady Antebellum, Matthew West, Colton Dixon). Since its release, the Self-Titled record has received great reviews and has also received numerous award nominations.

Bethany released her independently written follow-up EP “If the Boot Fits” on July 20th, 2024, while performing to a packed house at Quack’s Soundspace.

In addition to music, Bethany is also a professional actress. Bethany has starred in and composed the credits song for "The Dark Places," a multi-award winning faith based film about self-harm, and won Best Actress at the Branson International Film Festival for her performance. She was also nominated for Best Actress and Best Performing Artist at the International Christian Film and Music Festival for the role and song.

She has also shined as Lacey Stephens, Joe Haladin's spunky partner in crime in the multi-award winning feature film "Joe Halandin: The Case of the Missing Sister." In addition, she has tackled lead roles in Convalesce, Empire of Shadows, The Next 24 Hours, Empire of Shadows : Book 2, and more. She currently has several new projects in pre and post production. In between on-screen roles and performances, she has worked behind the scenes as a photo double and stand-in on AMC's "Fear the Walking Dead.

She has toured with High School Nation and “Drake and Josh” star Drake Bell, and has performed her music at Six Flags Over Texas, Rodeo Austin, Goorin SXSW, Grapefest, ACL 3TEN, and The Student Television Network National Convention. She has also performed live on Good Morning Texas and Good Day Austin.

In addition to the above, Bethany is a summa cum laude graduate of Berklee College of Music, known as the best music school in the world. She also owns a birthday party company called PopStardust Princess Parties, the first and only event company with princesses and traveling recording studio experiences.

On weekdays you can find Bethany teaches private music lessons in Lakeway out of TexARTS, where she often works as a Music Director and Sound Designer as well.

She is always singing, constantly writing, and she always has something new and positively entertaining around the corner.
